Sometimes while working as a Cache County Utah photographer, I come across people I haven’t seen in a long time. Often those are people I had connections with when I lived here several years ago before moving to Arizona. Capturing high school dance pictures for my younger brother and his group of friends created one of those opportunities. You see, my youngest brother Matthias was one of my students when I was teaching elemenyary school art. Several of his friends were also students of mine back in the day when I was their art teacher. It was so much fun to interact with these kids again 7 years after being their teacher. Now they’re all grown up and about to start their senior year of high school! They are involved in fun extracurricular activities, learning so many things and getting ready to head off into adulthood.
Prom Pictures on USU Campus
I had so much fun capturing these dance pictures of each of the couples as well as the entire group together. Spending time with this fun group of teenagers as they prepared to go to prom together was a treat. There was rain in the forecast on the day when we took these pictures, but we were so fortunate that the weather held out just long enough for us to finish the photo session and then it began raining right at the very end. We met on USU campus and took these pictures around the Old Main building. It was a great place to capture these formal prom pictures with the beautiful architecture of the historic building.
Junior Prom Dance Pictures
I loved seeing all of my brother and his friends’ prom dates’ beautiful dresses. It’s always funny to me to see how fashion has evolved since I was in high school. These girls looked so elegant and beautiful and it was really fun to capture them feeling like princesses. They certainly looked much more grown-up and put together then I ever did when I went to a high school dance back in my day.
