As a photographer for FBA sellers, I find fascinating the variety of products that sellers create and list on Amazon. Many of the products photographed by me in the past provide solutions to everyday problems. The product I photographed in this session is no exception! AMP Premier Products solved the problem of where to stash the lint you clean out of your dryer. Introducing: the lint bin!
How to Use the Lint Bin
Rather than putting a large trash bin in your laundry room that only gets used once in a while, the lint bin provides a compact, space-saving solution. This smart plastic lint bin magnetically attaches to the side of your dryer. Firstly, dry a load of laundry and remove the lint from your lint screen. Next, discard the lint into the convenient lint bin. Finally, use the bristle brush included with the lint bin to remove lint in the dryer around the screen. The flexible brush can reach the lint hiding in all those hard-to-clean nooks and crannies. However, if you don’t have the space to place the lint bin on the side of your dryer, no problem. The lint bin also includes a hole in the top of the back side so you can hang it on your wall with a nail or command hook.
Behind the Scenes of the Shoot
I rented a local AirBnb loft for this photoshoot. The owners of the space allow photoshoot time rentals by the hour during their turn-time in the middle of the day, after guests check out and before the space is cleaned. It’s a beautiful, high-end location for creating lifestyle advertising images. However, this was my first time renting the space and I did run into an unexpected problem. The listing images showed a washer and dryer with sides easily accessible to attach and photograph the lint bin. But when I arrived, I saw that the owners had added a shelving unit around the washer and dryer. This made shooting the lint bin hanging on the side much trickier. Thankfully a wide angle lens paired with shooting from angles I wouldn’t have normally chosen made it work.
