Northern Utah Photographer

Although I’m a northern Utah photographer after moving recently, I still work with some of my regular clients in Arizona. These clients now ship me their products instead of meeting up in person for photoshoots. One of these clients is Giving Bracelets. Giving Bracelets is a company based in Scottsdale, Arizona with the most charming storefront in Old Town Scottsdale. Inside their shop, you can watch the talented artists craft the leather bracelets by hand. You can even pick out the individual materials that will be used to make a custom bracelet for you.

All About Giving Bracelets

In addition to selling their beautiful bracelets made of recycled leather and precious stones, Giving Bracelets features the products of several local Arizona small businesses inside their southwest desert themed store. Hats, t-shirts, handbags, soap, candles, blankets, and more products created by Arizona makers line the shelves at Giving Bracelets.

The “Giving” in “Giving Bracelets”

Giving Bracelets gives back to the community by donating a percentage of every sale to the CASA program. Lesa, the founder of Giving Bracelets, volunteered as a court appointed special advocate for children. She gained a special awareness and love for the many children in the court system. Often there are hundreds of children whose cases are assigned to just one guardian ad litem (court appointed attorney). This stretches the attorney so thin between cases that they rely on CASA volunteers to check in on individual children. The volunteers get to know their situation personally and report back to the guardian ad litem to help advocate for the children’s well-being. Lesa saw the need firsthand and wanted to do something to help support the CASA program, and that’s how Giving Bracelets began–when someone buys a bracelet, they are giving back to children in the community who need help the most.
