Family Photos at Riparian Preserve | Gilbert Photographer

I was so thrilled when Beth contacted me to set up a family photo session!  Beth is my dad’s cousin, but he’s the oldest of his cousins and Beth is one of the youngest.  I remember seeing Beth and her siblings at family reunions as a kid; they were the really cool teenage cousins who were fearless water skiers and got to stay up late into the night playing Rummikub.  My sister and I wanted to be just like Beth and her sister, and they were always so sweet and patient with us even though I’m sure we were annoying!  I haven’t seen Beth in the longest time because we’ve lived in different states for so long, but now we live in neighboring towns, and it was such a treat to meet her adorable kids for the first time and photograph her family!  We met at the Riparian Preserve in Gilbert last night and the weather really cooperated for us–it was cloudy enough that the temperature wasn’t too crazy hot, but the sun still peeked out to give us that golden sunset glow.  It was really hard to choose favorites to share from this session!  Miss S and Mr. A are clearly as cute as can be, and Beth and Wayne are the most loving, joyful parents who are very much in love with each other as well.  Beth’s mom, my Aunt Jan, was in town for a visit, so we made sure to take a photo of Grandma with the grandkids as well.  Little S and A were such great sports for the photos (I think taking a break with Dad here and there to get tossed up in the air helped make it more fun!), and after all that smiling, cooperating, and looking at the camera, ending a photo session with tickles is always a good idea.  I just love this darling family!
