Logan Senior Photographer | Fall Pictures in North Logan

Logan Senior Photographer

I love finding new photography locations to use in my work as a Logan senior photographer! Taking photos of seniors is a perfect way to familiarize myself with a new location. It’s easier to pose one person than a large group of people, so it works out well to try new locations and experiment more in a photo shoot when I’m working with a high school senior than with a family that has lots of young kids.

North Logan Photo Session

I’m especially excited about this new location I found for this senior photo session because it’s in North Logan, just a couple minutes away from where I live. As a busy mom juggling work inside and outside the home, I don’t love traveling long distances for photo sessions. I just don’t love it when photography work takes me away from my family for more time than is necessary. This location is just a couple blocks away from my home, so it’s a very convenient spot for me to get to.

Ava’s Senior Photos

What a joyful, full-circle moment it was to take these senior photos of Ava! Here’s the backstory: Ava’s mom Jennifer was my middle school math and choir teacher. She is an INCREDIBLE teacher, one of the only teachers that made middle school enjoyable! And I actually felt like I understood the math concepts she taught because she was so good at explaining them. Ava was born one of the years that Jennifer was my teacher. I remember thinking Ava was such a pretty name and how fun that it was a palindrome (spelled the same backward and forward) because I’ve always loved that about my own name. Fast forward several years to when I was teaching community art classes during college, Jennifer signed up Ava and some of her siblings for my classes. Her kids were so sweet and cute and fun to teach! I got to teach them even more when I started working as the art teacher at a local elementary school after graduating college. Seven years later, Ava is all grown up into a beautiful young lady graduating high school this spring!

Fall Morning Senior Photos

Following in her mother’s footsteps, Ava excels in choir. With lots of choir practices and performances filling up her afternoons and evenings, we planned an early morning shoot. While the weather in North Logan is unpredictable in October, we lucked out to get some gorgeous fall color on one of the last days of nice weather before it snowed! I love the way these photos of Ava turned out! I can’t wait to see the great things she does next in her life!
