Phoenix AZ Photographer | Family Pictures in Gilbert, Arizona

As a Phoenix AZ photographer, it’s not often that I have to worry about the weather for pictures (other than the heat of course) because it’s almost ALWAYS a clear, sunny day here in Arizona! But on the day I had planned to take Megan and Eric’s family pictures, it had been raining on and off the whole day. I was worried that we would get rained out from our shoot, or that it would be too dark earlier in the day than usual because of how cloudy it was, but luckily the rain held off until our photo session ended! And even though it was a cloudy day, the diffused cloudy light ended up being so beautiful for these family pictures!

I absolutely loved taking pictures of Megan and Eric’s family. Megan and I actually grew up around the corner from each other in good old Logan, Utah, and now we are both raising young families down in sunny Arizona!  Megan has always been someone I looked up to, not only is she a “triple threat” on the stage (someone who is super talented at singing, dancing, and acting–she starred as Peter Pan in our high school’s musical) she is an all-around incredibly kind, upbeat and genuine person!  Megan met the love of her life, Eric, when they were both performing with Pickleville Theater. Musical theater continues to be a big part of their lives as Eric’s family business is Inspire Entertainment–local music, theater and dance studios that teach kids to become great performers.

I had such a fun time meeting up with Megan and Eric and their three ADORABLE kids! I loved watching the intentional, patient, kind and fun-loving way that Eric and Megan parent their children, and the way these three siblings love on each other and play together. This family clearly loves each other a whole lot and it was such a joy to get to capture these memories for them!
