Downtown Gilbert Family Pictures | East Valley Photographer

When my husband and I first moved to the Phoenix area, our surroundings felt so different from what we were used to in the quaint tree-studded Utah valley where we grew up.  Everything looked drab and dry, and the cookie-cutter tan stucco homes and buildings as far as the eye can see didn’t help.  But when we drove through historic downtown Gilbert, the colorful buildings with charming architecture and vintage signage reminded us of Main Street in downtown Logan and made us feel like maybe this place could be home after all.

So you can imagine how excited I was when my sweet friend Jamie asked me to take pictures of her cute family in Gilbert’s heritage district!  The restaurants and shops in this area are always very busy, so we decided to sunrise to hopefully avoid the crowds.  Luckily we basically had Gilbert Road to ourselves, which made for such a fun and relaxing setting for the Winfields’ family photos!  I really enjoyed taking pictures of this beautiful little family.  J and A are the cutest siblings and it was so fun to watch them run and play together!  I loved watching how Jamie and Russell interact with their cute kids; it was a privilege to witness and capture the sweet & strong relationships they have both with their children and each other.
